Renowned Snow Artist Simon Beck combines geometrical and orienteering brilliance, physical endurance and pure creativity, to craft stunning large scale art installations using snowy mountain landscapes as his canvas, and nothing more than a compass and a pair of snowshoes as his brushes.

"Doodle 4 Google" is a national competition inviting students in Grades K-12 in Canada to redesign the logo for the Google.ca homepage - the theme is "If I could invent anything, I would invent..."
The winning doodle will be featured on the Google Canada homepage for 24 hours. The winning student will also receive a $10,000 scholarship, a Google Chromebook, and a $10,000 grant to their current school along with a trip to Toronto to view a special exhibition of the top doodles at the Royal Ontario Museum in 2014. Design Exchange is proud to announce the 18th Annual Sears Canadian High School Design Competition. The aim of the competition is to promote the study and awareness of various design disciplines in schools across Canada. The competition is open to all high school students, at the junior (grades 10 and below) and senior (grades 11 and above) levels. Prizes will be awarded at the two levels, in each of the four categories – Industrial Design - Industrial Design, Fashion Design, Architecture / Interior Design, and Graphic Design.
The deadline for entries is May 1, 2013.
